But for the 2009 Push N900 competition, they were known as the Light Hack Crew. They love graffiti but they also share a passion for technology. So they created an electronic spray can and hooked it up to a Nokia N900. The spray can creates an LED light source and the hacked N900 captures the beautiful time-lapse images. See for yourself.

The release of the N900 sees the culmination of months of testing, tweaking and hard work, all to ensure that you get the device you have been hoping for.

The project however, has only just begun...

It's all of you out there - the developers, the fans, the consumers - who are going to dictate where the device goes and what it is capable of. Get thinking, be inventive, use your imagination and push the N900 to its limits. The work you do will make this device better - better than even we thought it could be. And that's how it should be.

Whether you want to participate and develop for the Maemo platform, buy the product or just learn more we want you to be involved...

Leading digital artists Karsten Schmidt, http://postspectacular.com and Gary Birkett, http://liqbase.net/ have created an innovative Nokia-powered art installation harnessing live online conversations to build an interactive, constantly evolving brand identity for onedotzero adventures in motion, http://www.bfi.org.uk/onedotzero.html a leading global festival of the digital arts.

Visitors to the festival will be able to twist, turn and customize a 200 square-metre projection using a bespoke UI created by Birkett, a Maemo community member, running seamlessly on the N900s Maemo 5 platform, http://maemo.nokia.com/

With early testing complete, the final interactive projection will debut at the BFI Southbank in London on Wednesday 9th September, running until Sunday 13th.
